Langkawi Trip @ 21/06/09 (Day 2)

Second day @ Langkawi

Our 2nd day trip consists of:-

1. Oriental Village
2. Cable Car
3. Perdana Gallery
3. Kuah Town
4. Billion Duty-Free
5. Dataran Helang
6. Mahsuri Tomb
7. Gamat Factory @ Nusantara Maju
8. Padang Matsirat (for Pasar Malam)
9. Langkasuka Beach Resort (using shuttle service from Hotel Helang)

2nd day tour starts at 9.30 a.m. & ends at 5.30 p.m. which is only for 8 hours. So, we have to rush here & there.

On our way to Oriental Village & Cable Car.

When we are on the way to Oriental Village & Cable Car, we passby the yatch area which is just located behind the Petronas station. Not sure what is the name for this place.

L: Our small van on 2nd day. Awfully, this van does not have good air-cond. So, my trip is abit warm..
R: Nice building right behind the Petronas station.

Yatch Area

Yatch parking zone...

L-R: Jade, L.Har, Eva, Jess & Lilian (exposes too much to the sun..)

After photo snapping, we continue our journey to our destination. Oh, we saw a lot of buffaloes along the road side.

L: Buffalo crossing the road.
R: Pantai Awam (Public Beach) near the yatch area. Heard from our tour guide, it is a man-made beach & the area was bought by Korean people.

At last, we arrive our first destination. Enjoy this section photos..! ^_*

Oriental Village & Cable Car

Animals Garden

A view inside Oriental Village. There is a pond of water lilies too.

The main entrance to Cable Car.

Note: There is one area which introduces the mountains & stones. Make sure you read it before going up the mountain. You will have a clearer picture when you are up there. Meanwhile, do some research / read Geography area before going up too.

Since, we are not able to get the "complimentary ticket" as souvenirs, I snapped this for my remembrance. Hand shaking.......

Ticket entrance which is same like "Touch N' Go" card. Must be kept all the way & to be returned when you coming down from the mountain.

Note: RM30.00 (with MyKad, your entrance fee is RM15.00 only) Worth it!

While waiting our turn to get into the gondola to step on Gunung Matchinchang, we snaps some photos too.

Me waiting for my turn to get into the cable car.

Note:
1. 1 gondola can allow 6 persons.
2. Our group have 6 ladies... So, all fit into 1 gondola.
3. Actually, we wanted to have 3 persons in a gondola but the operator don't allow.
4. So, if you are going in a group with 6 or more, please make sure that all of you spilt into few groups & pretend don't know each of the group while waiting for your turn to get into it. Otherwise, you will be "forced" into 6 per gondola. This is my 2 cents advice but not sure it works.. Hehe..

Cable Car (Going up the Gunung Matchinchang)

S.Har (our sporting "大姐"), Eva & L.Har (大姐的妹妹). Hmm... the RED gang.

A view of the cable car journey length..

Waterfall... Aiksss.... Who's leg?? Should be Lilian..

After all, it's me again with nice scenery at the back.

R: Jess & Lilian - 710 m with additional 20cm above sea level... hahaha..

A view of the pedestrian bridge from Top Station.

In order for us to get to the Pedestrian Bridge, there is a route we need to pass thru before arrived at this point. All we have to do is walk along the trek. Walking the jungle treks which is designed probably with stair case. Probably is just about 10-15mins for the trek. I forget to time it.

Note: Remember to bring towel if you are a big sweater.
